World Cup Nursery School and Kindergarten
Awesome Activities

Beginning with our three-year-old program, World Cup offers extended days in the AM and PM. Registration for these programs are held in August. Due to limited space, all children who register for everyday, all day, get first priority. AM children will be escorted from their regular classroom to Lunch Bunch and then to their appropriate extended day. PM children will be escorted from their extended day classroom to Lunch Bunch and then to their regular classroom. Children are always highly supervised.

Lunch Bunch
Lunch Bunch is a lunch-time program offered Monday – Friday to children in our three and four-year-old classes. Children will be grouped by age. AM Lunch Bunch runs from 11:45 – 12:45 and PM Lunch Bunch runs from 11:30 – 12:30.
Children should bring their lunch to school with ice packs in them as well as an necessary utensils. Please remember that due to severe allergies, we do not allow peanut butter or other peanut products in our school. The children are supervised and helped while they open and eat their lunches. After lunch, there are stories and songs, child-directed activities in the classroom and, weather permitting, some outdoor play.

Gym & More
Gym & More is a unique before/after school gymnastics program offered on Mondays & Thursdays from 9:30 – 11:30 for PM children and 12:45 – 2:45 for AM children. Each day, Gym & More includes forty-five minutes of instructional gymnastics with our certified gymnastics instructors on the gymnastics floor, where your child will receive the superior instruction and guidance for which World Cup Gymnastics is well-known. However, Gym & More is not just a gymnastics program – it also offers 75 minutes of discovery and play in a World Cup Nursery School classroom. Your child will enjoy a healthy snack and drink, hear and discuss a story, and get a chance to explore many opportunities for creative play. The teachers run the program with a caring philosophy and an emphasis on "learning through play" and "teacher-directed activities".

Theatre Workshop
Theatre Workshop is a special program offered on Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:30 for PM children and 12:45 – 2:45 for AM children. The children will be provided with opportunities to express themselves through dramatic play. Each week, the class will concentrate on an ongoing story using theatre backdrops (some of which the children make), dress-up clothes, puppets, etc. Stories will come alive as the children pretend to be specific characters and participate in related activities that will bring the stories to "life". The teachers run the program with a caring philosophy and an emphasis on "learning through play" and "teacher-directed activities".

Music & Movement
Music & Movement is a wonderful before and after school program offered Wednesday from 9:30 – 11:30 for PM children and 12:45 – 2:45 for AM children. The children will spend their time exploring a variety of music and creative movement activities. They will enjoy listening to the teacher as she plays a variety of familiar and new songs on the piano. The children will be introduced to basic music terms and be involved in a range of musical activities including singing, making instruments, musical parades and listening to music for enjoyment. In addition, the children will gain awareness skills as they participate in creative movement activities that stimulate creativity, provide for physical activity and encourage exploration of the wonderful ways their bodies can move! The teachers run the program with a caring philosophy and an emphasis on "learning through play" activities and "teacher directed activities".

Sports Club
Our exciting and non-competitive Sports Club program is offered on Fridays from 9:30 – 11:30 for PM children and 12:45 -2:45 for AM children. The children will spend 45 minutes on the big gym floor each week playing different sports. There will be a mini-golf course with golf carts, nerf baseball, little shot basketball, balloon volleyball and many more age-appropriate sports activities. Everyone is a winner for trying his/her best and being a team player. The children will then go to the classroom for snack and a "sports" story. The teachers will bring out sports-related games and activities to reinforce the concept of taking turns, good sportsmanship and trying your best. Our goal is to promote a positive climate of group cooperation! All of the teachers run their program with a caring philosophy and an emphasis on "learning through play".

Stay N’ Play
Stay n’ Play is a non-structured, supervised program offered Monday – Friday from 3:15 – 4:00 on our Indoor or Outdoor Playground. The children will have fun rolling, climbing, jumping and bouncing in our air castle. There will be music and a story to end the day.

A Recipe for Reading
A Recipe for Reading is designed to inspire the young reader to enter the world of literacy. Reading aloud to young children, doing projects, and having discussions result in rich opportunities for the pre-reader. Reading good literature, along with corresponding art and cooking projects, enhances a child's imagination and creativity while reinforcing a love for books. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a tea party with Mrs. Spider, go swimming with the Rainbow Fish or bake monkey bread with Curious George? How about constructing a tower with Bob the Builder or helping Pete make a pizza? These are just a few of the art and cooking projects that your children will be doing as we bring books to life in A Recipe for Reading.

Fun and Fitness
Fun and Fitness is designed to inspire healthy habits for young children. Hands-on-cooking experiences, art projects, language activities, learning games, and music and movement will introduce your child to a healthy lifestyle and help them understand, maintain, and appreciate "good health." Experiences such as vegetable printing, making placemats, learning to set the table, and cooking healthy treats will help your child learn how to keep their bodies healthy. Children will learn how movement can enhance their health and will practice yoga postures and aerobic moves appropriate to the pre-school set.

ABC & 123
ABC & 123 is designed to give young children an additional opportunity to learn and work with letters and numbers in a fun and personal way. The children will start by making their own name placemats that they will look for each day at snack. They will play letter and number recognition games such as, "Find the Letter" and "Let's Count it Again." They will be working with sand paper letters, learning to write letters on a dry erase board and many more activities designed around letters, their sounds, words, numbers and math concepts. Our goal is to reinforce the love of learning through letters and numbers.

Little Scientists
Little Scientists is designed to inspire the young scientist to enter the world of exploration and discovery. Hands-on experiments will comprise the bulk of this program. Art projects and learning games will introduce your child to the world of science and help them explore, understand, and appreciate the world around them. Some sample themes include- "I Love Mud," "Little Gardeners," "Bird Watching Fun," and "Rocks and Gems." Experiences such as painting a "pet rock," making a bird house, "erupting" a volcano, and planting a mini-garden will help your child get in "touch" with nature. Exploring the natural world using a microscope will introduce children to the world that exists outside their normal range of vision. Children will explore the properties of various materials using their senses and tools of measurement, such as scales. These are just a few of the exciting activities that your children will be doing as we introduce them to the wonders of the world.
